My sweet girl crossed the rainbow bridge today. I posted the other day about her needing to have a total Mastectomy but unfortunately she couldn't hold on much longer. She had been extra cuddly the past couple of days so I knew it was going to happen but didn't want to accept it. One of her mammary glands ruptured while I was home from work and thankfully my toddler was napping. I got to spend her last moments with her but I'm crushed that she's not sitting in my lap right now. We had only adopted her back in February but I hope she knows how much love I have for her 🩷
We just adopted Cleo from our local Humaine Society in February as a 4 month old. She was missing her right kidney and her right ovary. Since getting her, she's gone into heat, developed mastitis, and antibiotics are not working. The swelling is so bad, it's almost touching the floor when she walks. Vet recommended a total mastectomy (not guaranteed to work) or she'll pass away. Anyways, Cleo has to wear a onesie to hold her up and hates it. She's my little mawmaw in her muumuu.
