Cinnamon, day 2 in forever home

It's love 🥹🥹🥹 I wondered if she might have been startled by a noise in the hallway at the end, but it seemed she just realized it was time to practice the cello. She's still mostly sticking to her safe corner, but now she's coming out for pets whenever we offer them (she even ignored a Churu so she could give us more headbutts), she explored the living room while we were asleep and used the litter box, and she continues to make biscuits even on hard surfaces. I'm convinced it's her idle animation.

this cat is something else. I'm so honored that she chose us to spring her from the shelter after a whole year, and so grateful for the rescue volunteers who gave extra TLC to this sweet tortie during that year at the shelter until she felt safe enough to stop hiding and introduce herself.

Bonnie cat is displeased

Her spot was taken by a bratty lil tabby. Will this criminal ever be brought to justice

Just a bunch of smol lil torties, torticos and orangeys 🐾 🧡🖤

My lil loves had their first batch of gruel yesterday as they are officially 3 wks and have some lil teefers so I thought why not try? They all ate a tiny bit but I could see they weren’t quite ready yet so we shall try again in a few days. The first photo shows of my lil Tortie Pixie and her beautiful baby blues isn’t she just a doll! I mean they ALL are but she will be my keeper from this Trojan litter and almost all the rest of them have amazing homes too once they are ready. It’s been such a joy to watch these lil ones grow and there mama is a true QUEEN and has been doing an incredible job with them 🥰

Found the Tortie sub to share my very little baby girl. Left her with a family friend for 4 days and I hardly recognize her — shes growing up! Her eyes are turning green! (Last pic is today, about 3 weeks later)

Had a little blep this morning

She fell asleep mid bath, tongue still sticking out. I've rarely caught a blep so prominent and clear on camera.

Please share your own bleps! I'd love to see em.

Introducing Emmy 💚

This is my dilute girl, Emmy (short for Emerald).

She was found under a house after giving birth to 5 kittens when she was about 9 months old. She came home with me after her babies were weaned.

She's been with me coming on 3 years now.

My life now

I work in a jail as a nurse and one of our inmates had kittens in his house. He had been in jail about a week before our program volunteer went to his house to get some items for him and try to get the kittens. He could only find one, among several adult cats none of whom seemed to be the mother. Animal control literally told him just leave the door open and let them out. Which is INSANE to me.

Anyway, I have a kitten now. And I think she's a tortie.

First day, One year after and cake!

The two first pictures are from the night and the following week that, me, my GF and two friends, rescued my little girl from the streets. The other 2 are her now, after one year sharing an apartment with me and my GF and the last two is a "Tortie cake" we tried to bake last weekend.

A fun fact is that at the time, me and my GF were still considering getting a cat, so we decided to buy some stuff already. The exact same day, the little red bed arrived was the day our friends said they saw this tortie cat abandoned on they street and asked if we wanted to adopt her.
