Lich or DoV for EDC?
Hey all,
Pretty new PoE2 player with only a few thousand hours of PoE experience, looking for some input.
Most of the build guides I look at for Essence Drain / Contagion builds use Lich as the ascendancy, from the witch. It looks like most of the ascendancy choices are oriented around defensive options.
Meanwhile, I'm looking at the ascendancy nodes from my Disciple of Varashta Djinn build. I could spec entirely out of the Djinn and just go with an EDC build, grabbing the juicy ES nodes, ES as armor, and even have the option to run a staff with a focus instead of the typical wand. having a 40% increased area of effect for non-unique time-lost jewels looks like a good pickup too if maintaining the "no djinn" aspect.
Is the DoV ascendancy perhaps a better EDC vehicle than Lich? What are your thoughts?
