AITAH for removing my Nintendo account from the family Switch
I (21M) removed my profile and account from the Nintendo Switch because its attached to my personal email & Nintendo account and im just tired of my little brother (13M) playing on it. He's always on my profile, playing fortnite and rocket league.
For a while i was okay with it. But the older he got, i just got annoyed with it. Its ALL. THE. TIME. On My profile. Now when people view my hours per game, Fortnite is the most played...that bugs me. BUT that is not the sole reason i removed the profile, while it is one of them.
Another reason being, he's friended his friends from school ON MY PROFILE. I don't know these younglings! I don't need them friended on my shit. Get these children OUT OF HERE.
His biggest issue with me not letting him play on my profile anymore is that he'd lose his Fortnite data. Cars, Skins, accessories, etc...
But i just dont get it. Every season in Fortnite, doesn't it restart your XP or Levels at 0 anyways? You have to grind all over again regardless. And while i can understand that you might not be able to play as older skins that have very little chance at being brought back in the shop, and not being able to drive the Delorian from BTTF or an ugly ass Cyber Truck or the super cool Mystery Machine, that can be upsetting and i get it. I do.
But im just tired of it ALWAYS being on MY account. MY profile. Its my account, my profile. Point blank period. I've already unlinked my acct from the system. It's just bugged me for far too long. I've only let it go on this long because in this family, its like im always expected to think about others and consider other pplz feelings about whatever. And- ugh- theres just years of family shit that i won't get into, but its like im always doing things for others and letting WAY TOO MANY THINGS just simply SLIDE for the sake of others and to coddle feelings. Im sick of it. I deserve to be selfish sometimes.
But its time he made his OWN Nintendo account that would allow him to play online games.
And he refused to do that. So i removed my shit. Because its mine, and im allowed to do whatever tf i want with MY data. Fuck.
