I have a 2015 Hyundai Tucson and the door will not open from inside or outside. This has happened to 3/4 doors. It is the door actuator. When I spoke to the dealership, they told me it's not covered by Hyundai and will be roughy $1200 to open the door and door panel and then another $600 for the part PER DOOR. I did some research and this is a HUGE problem in all years and models of Hyundais. It is hilarious they add a recall when insurance doesn't cover them anymore for the big anti theft recall but when it comes to getting in/out of your car, good luck! Spoke to Hyundai and the dealership, both told me to kick rocks. The dealership even laughed their heads off watching me get in my car from the passenger side, hilarious guys! Not a safety concern by Hyundai, they didn't care. But why fix it? If I knew every car came with an $1800 check per door, why change it?

I'm a fool to own this brand. I will never in my life buy or recommend buying a Hyundai/kia. Stay far away. If anybody has advice let me know.

I have tried pushing the wire through the door handle, lifting it, all the tricks it seems like. I was able to get one door open somehow and fix it myself but that was a hassle of one week devoting all my time to it.
