Meat tastes off
I did contact the store but I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue.
I bought ground beef from the superstore in Montague yesterday and today when I made burgers they had a chemical like taste and smell. This isn't the first time but the other 2 times I just wrote it off. This time I had 4 packages though so I returned them.
Oddly, when we couldn't eat the burgers at home, I ordered burgers from a local grill and 2 of the 4 burgers we bought also had this issue so I'm wondering if they buy their meat from superstore as well. (I'm about to drive there to ask).
I'm wondering if maybe someone is using the wrong thing to clean the meat grinder or perhaps not rinsing it... Idk.
I'll take any suggestions on where to buy meat at a reasonable price as well, please lol
Update: checked with the local grill. They do buy their meat from superstore. I let them know their meat tastes bad too.
