Does doing what you like in terms of job matter that much? Won't you be happy with say 12lpa from a mediocre and hectic job(say like in it) and do other stuff like reading, trips, etc. to be happy? I want people who are working to give their inputs on this. I also want those who chose their job out of the mere passion and say how they feel right now.

It is a basic responsibility for any government to be accountable for mishaps and faults from its side. But our government seems to have forgotten this. What started as a peaceful protest turned into a scene of violence and gore, with the police personnel carrying out Lathi charges and tear gas attacks on the innocent protestors. This seriously questions the state of our country and the so called democratic principles, which it is said to uphold.
It all started with Sonam Wangchuk. You might've come across this name before. He is the inspiration for the famous functional character from the Hindi movie - '3 Idiots'. He raised questions against the NTA regarding the lack of accountability for the NEET paper leak that occurred few months ago, which is yet another issue which was sidelined by the government. He undertook a hunger strike, saying that he would eat no food until the education minister, Dharmendra Pradhan would resign. After 18 days of protest, he was forcefully taken and admitted to a hospital. His body was severely malnourished. Soon, students joined this protest. The government couldn't stand people questioning them, so they did whatever they could from their side to suppress them. Tear gas bombs were thrown, Lathi charges were conducted, students were beaten brutally - all for just asking the government of its mistakes. The problem hasn't been solved yet, and it is only expected to worsen. If this is how a democracy should be, then it looks like the meaning of democracy has to been changed by our government.
