‘Junk fees’ are driving up the cost of renting in Howard County, advocates say

I didn't know anything about junk fees before attending a Renters Town Hall in Columbia last week. The advocates studying this issue say a lot of Howard County renters they spoke with have dealt with fees for trash valet, WiFi service, package deliveries and parking (even when the resident doesn't own a car)
