Can someone please explain this to me I’m so confused
So contract packs and TA forms have yet to be sent to our solicitor meaning searches can’t happen (9 weeks since offer was accepted) and I had an update today from estate agent as to why they still haven’t been sent out and the vendor solicitor has said “ the title for this property is pending registration, (this is common in these circumstances, whereby the property had been owned for many years by the same person). The application has been expedited as a sale has been agreed so this should be processed very soon. Once registration has happened the contracts can be issued.”
What does this mean and how long realistically will this take now as I’ve seen online upto 6 months? I don’t understand why this wasn’t done before they put it up for sale, house was inherited as lady passed away and now her nephew has inherited it. Probate was granted in October 2025 for reference.
