Is it OK to trim a carbon fiber seat post approximately where I drew the red line? My new saddle has a transition mount (for triathlons), but it looks like the seat post will block it. It doesn't look like there is enough to sit in front to sit securely on the rack either. I'm open to other ideas that do not require cutting also.
