What is your experience of studying at Innsbruck university?
hey! I’m thinking about applying to the University of Innsbruck for Translation Studies( if i’m not mistaken) - Mehrsprachige Kommunikation. i’d really love to hear from people who currently study there or have studied there, especially international/non-EU students.
how do u actually like it there? I’m mainly curious about the application process. was it relatively straightforward? were there any unexpected difficulties or things u wish you had known before applying?
i’m also a little concerned about the language requirement. i’m currently studying translating/linguistics at my university in russia, and my current programme is quite similar to the “Mehrsprachige Kommunikation” german is my main language of study and my current level is around A2. how realistic would it be to apply with this background? what level of German did u have when you applied/started, and have i any chance that some of my completed courses could be recognized?
and what is the attitude towards international students? do u generally feel welcomed and treated the same as austrian/EU students? Is it easy to communicate with professors, administration and students if you’re an international student?
i’d also REALLY appreciate hearing from anyone studying Mehrsprachige Kommunikation specifically, but general experiences with the university are welcome too!!!!🤗
