Maya suddenly not being able to open file. Freezes and crashes
Hello!
I have been using maya to do a retopology for a high poly model I have made in Zbrush. I am not very familiar with maya so I am not sure how to solve my problem.
Yesterday, after finishing some work on the retopo, I saved my file and closed Maya. Though now whenever I try to open this project again, my Program just freezes. I tried leaving it to load but I think it just crashes. This has not happened before.
I already tried resetting my preferences (via Preferences and resetting it to default). I also attempted to import my .ma file to Blender with an addon. But even in blender it freezes and doesn't load. Is my file completely unusable now? I put a lot of work into it and sadly forgot to do a backup recently so it would suck to lose it. So I thought I could ask here in case there is a fix.
I would greatly appreciate any help I could get!
