hey,
i’ve been working on a game called SURGE on and off for a while now, and i’ve reached the point where i don’t think i should be trying to build all of it on my own anymore
it started years ago as just ideas and drawings, and over time i turned it into something playable. it’s a 3D rhythm based platformer with a focus on movement, timing, and how the gameplay flows with the music
i’ve also made a few smaller games before, so i understand what it takes to actually finish projects, but this one is just bigger than what i can realistically handle solo
This build is an early prototype with 3 playable levels. The core gameplay loop is there, and the levels are fully playable, but there are still rough edges in terms of feel, visuals, and overall polish.
The project originally started as concepts and drawings in late 2017 and slowly turned into something playable over time. At this point, I’m mainly focused on refining the gameplay feel and seeing how far the idea can go.
i’m mainly looking for someone experienced in Unity or similar who:
- cares about gameplay feel and responsiveness
- understands timing and player feedback
- wants to take something that already exists and help push it further
this isn’t paid upfront, just being straight about that. i handle the music and overall direction, you’d be handling development and helping shape the final product
not trying to micromanage everything, but i do care about keeping the core idea intact
if this sounds interesting, reach out. i can send more gameplay, the build, and everything else
even if you’re not looking to work on it, feedback is always welcome
thanks
