Did I do something wrong?

Yesterday I had a really angry patient say that they'll transfer all of their stuff out and it's my fault.

She was standing near the registers on her phone talking and pacing in circles. Never addressed us at all. Pharmacist and I watched her and she said nothing. We kept working. Finally after helping at drive-thru she was giving me the eye. I said, "Ma'am, are you looking to pick up?" She gave me a duh look. I said, "We weren't sure because you're on your phone and never cameto the register. If you'd like to finish up and come to the register we can help you." Apparently that was offensive.

6 months of CII

So I'm doing data entry this evening and suddenly six prescriptions for generic Vyvanse drop into my queue. And I'm confused cuz they're all for the same patient and they're all for the same strength. Ended up inactivating three of the scripts and sending a professional but very bitchy note to the doctor

So to make sure my point is clear you are allowed to send in either one 90 day script for ac2 or 3 prescriptions for one month at a time. And if you send in three scripts you have to notate which one is for which time. I only mentioned this they know some states only allow you to do one month at a time. So I look at the first script and it says it's for November. I look at the last script and it says it's for August. So I work my way backwards and the doctor sent in August and September and October and labeled them script one and two and three with do not feel before dates. Then did the same thing for November December and January.

SMDH. If you don't know how to write a script or what the legal restrictions are, then perhaps you shouldn't be writing scripts at all.

Cameras

So this month we are getting the unfortunate upgrade to self check out Pharmacy registers. Yes I know I'm oversimplifying it but in reading the breakdown all the questions that we hate to ask the customers, all the questions that customers hate to answer, and everything that's a complete waste of time will now be on the customer side of the screen so they can rant and Rave about how bad it is to have to answer these questions every single time. But as I scroll down through the zip line I saw there's another note that they will be installing cameras and all the registers and all the workstations. What in God's name do they need to installing cameras for? We don't do virtual verification, but I've heard that they're going to start using facial recognition software instead of credentials
