The insanity of CO2 taxation
For context, I live in Finland and this is one of the worst countries to buy an ICE car :)
So I just got back from service center visit at local Porsche center and the customer service rep told me that someone just ordered a Panamera 4S (aka non-hybrid) for the first time in a few years and it raised some concerns. I knew that we have crazy CO2 taxes here and that’s the reason why you can’t find any ICE Porsches from the 9Y generation for sale but I never checked the pricing for myself.
Here are some screenshots and I’m keen to learn if there is any other country where a Cayenne S costs more than a Turbo E-Hybrid.
Looks like whoever ordered that Panamera 4S is built of nothing but dedication.
PS. For those of you who think that you could just buy one abroad and import it, bad news: you’ll still pay the CO2 tax on the car when registering it bringing the total price very close to local
