Hi everybody, I have been having a blast on my scooter. So far, I have driven about 220 miles on it (I bought it at 77 miles). Since it's finally getting warmer and sunny in New York, I've been driving it more, but since I've been driving it more, I ran into some problems, and I hope someone on here can help because I tried to look on Google or ask the dealership I got it from, and they couldn't, so here I am.
Anyway, my first problem with the scooter is that it does not have a cup holder. Since it's very bulky, can we glue it to the plastic with double-sided tape, or get a cup holder that goes on the arms for the mirror? If you want an idea of how bulky the handlebars are, check out my last post.
And last, my 2nd problem is with the Horn. I accidentally press the horn all the time whenever I try to press my blinkers to turn them off or on, "HOOONK", whenever I try to open my trunk, but my finger slips, "HOOOONK". Whenever I take a sharp turn, my knee presses it "HOOOOONK". I went to the dealership I bought it from and showed them that it's easy to replace with the same horn button, but she wasn't sure about getting something new from a different year Vespa, and see if that works with it. She also had the idea of putting a blister band-aid behind it to make it more squishy and harder to press. Still, I was wondering if there were any aftermarket horn buttons that I could get to make the button less sensitive.
Other than those problems, I've been LOVING this scooter, and since gas prices have been going up, filling my tank with $3 is AMAZING!
