Who else has gamified simple tasks that do not require it without realizing their whole life, not to be better at it but out of sheer nature?
We've all heard the basics of "oh, you want to get xyz done? Make it like a game, then you'll be more likely to get it done!", and it has varied mileage. I know for me very rarely can I do this on purpose to make an ugh task doable, but realized soon after my diagnosis that I accidentally do this for some tasks.
My example? I prefer to find videos/searches I'm looking for through other searches/connections, rather than just typing the name of what I'm looking for and going from there. Frustrating when I can't get to/find it, but when it works it's like I've completed the scavenger hunt. (My girlfriend pointed out that this is, in fact, not a common thing that most others do lol).
Anyone else have incidental gamification examples as well?
