Random GPO's stopped working
I live in a 2 story, 6 bedroom house with I would guesstimate about 40 to 45 GPO's inside and outside. Recently, about 8 GPO's stopped running anything, they are all against the southside wall, the meter box is on the northside wall.
I took a test stick to the effected GPO's and they all show power (as in it glows and squeels) but nothing will operate from them (tested with an angle grinder and a battery charger).
My very uneducated guess is there is active power to them (hence the glow and squeel) but no neutral to them.. Would I be correct???
I'm kindly asking if there is any professional explination for this occuring. I'm hoping it may just be a relay on that specific circuit and the fix won't set me back an arm and a leg to have it rectified by a qualified electrician.
