Leaking elbow connector for outdoor tap

Hello all!

I recently had to take the elbow part off and since i’ve tried to reconnect it, i cant get it to stop leaking a bit when the water is turned on. If i tighten too much, it leaks where the washer is. If i dont tighten enough, it leaks where it connects to the tap.

The rubber washer inside is intact and looks good and as you can see, i added plumbing tape because without it, it seems to leak regardless.

Any help is appreciated!
