I am wanting to buy something for £1511. I know goods & services offer protection. As its such a large amount I wondered if Paypal hold the funds to the seller until the buyer receives the item? Or will the seller get these funds straight away?

Its my first time buying something with goods & services and I also wondered if anyone can offer additional advice on to ensure I am protected?
