floor mattress cosleepers and traveling

summer coming up here and with 2 weeklong trips planned i’m wondering from other moms what they’ve done

i sleep every night with my 7 month old on a floor mattress and want to replicate that as much as possible. i *could* bring this mattress but it takes a LOT of car space.

does anyone have any travel friendly floor mattresses that are still safe for short periods? or tips? i honestly don’t feel equipped to safely rest on a raised bed because we’ve gotten so used to being on the floor

full time working mom here (work from home) and husband also works from home full time

we got on daycare lists immediately when we found out we were pregnant thinking that’s what we were gonna do

fast forward to baby and no way in hell i was going to send her to day care at 3 months post partum when i had to go back to work so we hired a nanny. we aren’t rich but dual income and we’re willing to spend a little more to make sure we are keeping her near me during these formative months. and she exclusively breast feeds so nanny brings her to me to breast feed. it’s been a dream and im really blessed.

she’s 6 months old now and unfortunately my nanny may be leaving us, and i’m CONSIDERING starting to think about daycare.

my question is how many people on here have sent their babes to daycare stating at this age and how did it go?

forgot to mention mine won’t take bottles, and she almost always exclusively contact naps. she sleeps with me every night and still hasn’t learned any independent sleep because i refuse to force anything, so far.

based on this i feel like she’s not a candidate for daycare it seems like it would be a very stressful transition, but others in my life feel like the timing of nanny quitting would line up easily with starting daycare

need advice.

hope i’m explaining ok. mom brain is real
