I live on the first floor right by the entrance of the building and these are everywhere. Every morning in kicking about five of these from the entrance of my apartment. What is attracting them!?!

The shell is hard - it doesn’t fly - the crawl against the wall and flip over so the sound it makes when trying to flip back over is disturbing - it does on its back - biggest I’ve seen are an inch, smallest is half an inch
