Fibrus full fibre 500Mbps - only getting 150-200Mbps with own router (UniFi Dream Machine)

Just had Fibrus installed in Northern Ireland on their 500/150 package. Connected directly ONT → UniFi Dream Machine (UDM) on the WAN port.

Only getting 150-200Mbps down and it's inconsistent. Ran through the following and ruled all of these out:

  • WAN port negotiating at GbE ✓
  • Smart Queues off ✓
  • Hardware offloading on by default (Network 10.4.57) ✓
  • DHCP config correct, no VLAN, no double NAT ✓

Tested three configurations:

  1. ONT → UDM = 150-200Mbps
  2. ONT → eero (Fibrus supplied) = 500Mbps ✓
  3. ONT → eero → UDM = 150-200Mbps

So even with the eero handling the WAN connection and the UDM sitting behind it, anything passing through the UDM is capped at 150-200Mbps. The eero clearly isn't the bottleneck.

Running UniFi Network 10.4.57. Hardware offloading should be on by default but there's no toggle visible in the UI to confirm.

Is there something in this firmware version that could be causing a throughput cap? Or is there a way to verify hardware offloading is actually active via SSH?
