COROS Apex 4 – My experience with the watch and customer support

I bought a COROS Apex 4 (46 mm) in January 2026.

After only a few months of normal use, the black coating on the titanium bezel started peeling in several places.

What is frustrating is that I took great care of this watch because I really liked its appearance. The screen has always been protected, the watch has not suffered any significant impacts, and I paid particular attention to avoiding scratches. Despite that, the coating deterioration appeared naturally over time.

I contacted COROS support and provided photos. The claim was rejected, with the issue being considered normal wear related to use and maintenance.

What disappointed me most was not the refusal itself, but the lack of a clear technical explanation. The responses felt very generic, giving the impression that the goal was to close the ticket rather than investigate the specific case.

To be fair, I enjoyed the COROS software and overall user experience. However, this situation has left me questioning the durability of the bezel coating and the quality of the after-sales support.

Has anyone else experienced similar coating issues on an Apex?
