I’ve been a long-time Amex user and have genuinely enjoyed the simple app experience and excellent customer support.

However, after the recent Platinum Travel devaluation, I’m no longer sure the card makes sense for me. While I comfortably cross the ₹5L annual spend milestone, I don’t really have enough spending avenues in my Tier-2 city to reach ₹7L consistently. A large number of merchants where I spend still don’t accept Amex either.

The primary reason I used Amex was for earning Marriott points and hotel rewards.

Given this situation, could you please suggest some suitable alternatives?
