What they dont do?

How does one maximise utilisation with them?

With 2 months to go , I had a USA trip to plan for Dec 2026 , I had 160k Amex points in October 2026 , the revenue rates were crazy high for the holiday season . Below is what I redeemed , cc geeks any other better options which I can use next time ?

BLR - SFO 27000 Pts VA + 205 Pound tax

Transferred 60000 Amex to 48000 VA as the Amex card point segregation seem to be happening soon so I still have 21k VA left

LAX - BLR 51000 Avios + 165 USD tax

Transferred 1l Amex points to Qatar privilege club at 2:1 ratio as seats were limited only 1 saver from lax to blr on 24 dec , American Airlines was available at 40k pts + 48$ tax , but the transfer of Amex to marriot to AA at 3:1 would take around 1 week , couldn’t wait so long hoping seats remain

What I love about redemptions is the cancellation fees are nominal compared to revenue tickets in OTA’s

Was trying to pay on zepto and amex is not supported. I know zepto is a very petty company but amex not working on a major consumer brand says something. They have given up completely on Indian customers.

Today I went to DMart to buy some stuff and noticed they have posters at the billing counters saying they accept RuPay Visa MasterCard and even American Express

So I did my billing and paid with my card without any issues

Then I went outside to the popcorn counter, bought popcorn and tried to pay with the same card

Declined 💀

Like.. the main DMart billing counter accepts Amex but the popcorn counter said nope 😭

Hello people,

Today is the last day for me to meet 4L milestone on Amex. I have just around 1300 rs left to reach the milestone. I had already made a transaction of 1500 rs yesterday and bought gift voucher from shopwise but it still shows pending (has been more than 24 hours) so most probably it won't get counted. What other transaction I can make that can get approved in minutes and not stay pending. Planning to close card tomorrow and transfer all points to Marriot. Amex is SH*T.
