My parents gifted me some veggies (leeks and artichokes) from their allotment. Popped them in a plastic bag to take home in my rucksack. I put the plastic bag on my kitchen table overnight (so glad I forgot to put it in the fridge now) and woke up to these little things crawling all over the bag and table and in my rucksack and on my plants on the table. This is the UK during a cold snap so maybe they were dormant in the veggies until they got into my warm home. I've plonked the bag in the garden for now and am running my rucksack and all the clothes that were inside it through the washing machine in case they are predatory to my house plants.
Are my plants doomed? Can I still reclaim my veggies from the hoards? I get pests are a part of veggie gardening and I'm not grossed out by them but if I want to keep my house plants safe do I need to quarantine everything that comes from my parents allotment 😭
