It’s been a little under two weeks since I made this post about my coworker and boy did things go south VERY quickly. Keep in mind I’ve only worked 3 shifts with him since. I’ll name a few things
-referred to a group of girls that came into the store as “the Mexicans” multiple times mind u, when they were in ear shot and he acknowledged this saying “the Mexicans want to order again” when I corrected him telling him he can’t refer to people by their race he got genuinely upset and threw a temper tantrum YELLING “they are Mexicans though so I can call them that”
-he got into an argument with a customer, I tried to redirect the customers attention, I called her over to me (he was register I was bar support) he proceeded to start yelling across the store at her and in return I got screamed at by the customer
-he made very inappropriate sexual remarks about a different customer that wasn’t in the best mood. Again when corrected he stood 10 toes down on it refusing to admit that he was wrong.
-he thought it would be the funniest idea to flick me in the middle of my forehead. He did receive a tongue lashing from me and I took it to the ASM and SM who were both on my side
Where the issue comes is that the first two days after I reported him, my managers told me they couldn’t speak to him about it yet because we were insanely busy which is fair enough, they stuck him on window whenever I worked with him to keep us apart.
The next time I saw him though it was my day off and I came in for a drink. I said hi and smiled and asked him how he was but he refused to even look in my direction and met me with a “what do you want” I gave him a weird look bc I was genuinely confused and he rolled his eyes at me. Ever since then he won’t talk to me even when it comes to work related stuff. He throws a temper tantrum like a child and will ignore any questions he’s asked, not just by me.
