Leon's Inferno Challenge (w/ the Ghost Grudge)
The Leon's Inferno challenge requires you to deal at least 5,000 damage with a single hit on the Super Tyrant on Rank3 difficulty. It's a bit tedious but doable. I dealt 9,135 here but you can deal a good margin higher still (10 - 11K+), so 5,000 is actually a surprisingly low cutoff.
The weapon I used is the Ghost Grudge (3-Star) acquired from the Chainsaw Zombie mini-boss at the RC Gas Station. The perks/enhancers used can be seen at the bottom of the screen.
- Difficulty: Rank 3
- Loadout: Wolf Mode (w/ the Axe-orcist skin) [to buy more game time]
- Enhancers from left to right: (a list of all the LMDF perks can be seen on the LMDF RE Fandom Page)
- Sharpshooter
- Phantom Assassin
- Streamlined
- Scatter Shot
- Unyielding Judge
- Bloodshot
- Chronos Shot (not really part of damage scaling: again, just to buy more game time)
- Extra: Mixed Blessing (this is to get an even higher chance of good crate loot but should be replaced with something prioritizing damage eventually after you get the high-tier weapon you want for this challenge)
⚠️ The single most important tip: do not pick up useless/low-tier weapons from weapon crates (unless it's one you specifically want for the time being). Every single time you pick up a weapon then discard it because you're filling up your inventory, you only serve to add that weapon back to the RNG pool and there's a very high chance the next weapon you get from a crate (or Red/Blue zombie) will be the very same unwanted weapon you've just discarded. This is contrary to the currently circulating belief that you need to hoard everything even if you don't actually want the weapons.
The game will not spawn the same weapon twice if it's either in your inventory or left in the open crate untouched. Obviously, the latter (open crate) is the better choice since you get the same benefit without cluttering up Leon's inventory. The same applies to leaving unwanted weapons dropped by Red & Blue zombies on the floor. By doing this, you ensure overpowered weapons are acquired virtually every run especially if you prioritize opening as many crates (or killing as many Red/Blue zombies) as possible. The only exception to this rule, I believe, is when switching levels.
