Just finished Over the Garden Wall last night... Wow.
Holy wow. I had the privilege of watching this completely blind and what a treat.
At first I wasn't sure if this was too much of a kids show for me, but I'm so glad I stuck with it. I enjoyed the show more and more as it continued, and my jaw was DROPPED from the start of episode nine through till the end.
Everything in the show is so intentional and I only realized how tightly the story and themes comes together on rewatch. (Because how can you NOT immediately watch the first few episodes again?)
I went into this show with no expectations, so I was just blindsided by the realistic emotional journey of the brothers, the stellar voice acting, clever writing, beautiful visuals, and who could forget that music!!
I already know I'm rewatching it in October.
