Give him salvation
“It’s hard to let go of those who’ve passed.“
Just 7 years old and he uses words so strong.
His brain still growing, transitioning to understand this world isn’t always the way it seems .
Beaming through the tears asking something so brave.
Hopefully he understands the words I choose will actually help him feel everything will be okay.
How do I tell him the world hasn’t done him wrong?
how do I help him understand he is already so fucking strong?

I look in the review mirror
His eyes meet mine. I Wonder if I have the guidance for the feelings he has suddenly expressed.
It pains me… but I get a sense of pride
he has taken on this burden and the look in his eye tells me he knows I have heard him.

Well buddy, sometimes the people we love are here for just the right amount of time and even when they are gone we will never let them go.
Hold onto every moment, every smile and every tear.
Because this love and feeling won’t ever leave…they just find a different way to stay.
