Is Liquor store business a good idea in 2026?

I am here to ask some of the experts in this field or the liquor store owners.

Me and my Brother are thinking to start a liquor store in Texas. Our budget is around between 400k to 500k.

We both are into our jobs and want to start this business as a side hustle and when things get better than switching to this business full time (it a long term plan), as we both are in jobs we don’t have any experience.

I want to ask is this business still relevant?

What are the factors to consider while planning for this business?

Also, if we continue with the idea. How to get started. Should we just do all the work ourselves or hire some professional to help us.

Please advise before I burn my savings.

Thanks in advance.

How I am doing?

Picked up some pallets yesterday and build this pit really quick for composting. Please tell me how I am doing ?

Also, since this is my first time, what should I put in and what should I refrain from?

I thank all the experts in advance.

I started gardening for the first time this season. And in start I saw whatever seeds I could get in my raised garden. Now many of the seeds popped up and growing great. However this particular plant which I was under the impression that it eggplant. But doesn’t look like it.

I am not sure which plant is this and also feel that it isn’t a weed. What is this plant? Should i keep it or kill it?

Hey folks,
Looking for some advice from people who’ve been there.
I’ve got about an acre in Texas, mostly flat with a slight slope in the front. I’ve been using a Troy-Bilt Bronco 42 (bought used last year). It worked fine overall, but recently the deck started giving me trouble, and instead of putting more money into it, I’m thinking of upgrading.
What I’m looking for:
Easy to mow, including a small slope (nothing crazy)
Reliable for the long run (hoping for 7–10 years with maintenance)
Low maintenance, but still something I can work on myself
Easy to find parts, reasonably priced
Decent power but nothing overkill
I’ve gotten comfortable doing basic maintenance myself and actually don’t mind it, just don’t want something that constantly needs work.
Would really appreciate recommendations (brands/models) and also anything I should avoid.
Thanks!

May be a stupid question but I’ll ask anyway, this is my Troy bilt bronco 42 riding mower which I bought last year ( used). It has been working fine so far, I did the oil change myself and everything seems fine until last few days. The speed has reduced a bit and it make more sound than usual. When I lower the deck for mowing it jerks sometimes but running ok.

What should I do fix it?
