Amazon finally delivered my watch...USED!
I hoped I could have posted a happy hello to the group, that I have also become a Garmin family member. But it's far from happy...This will be long, sorry.
TL:DR: Supposedly new watch arrived used from Amazon, with many bumps anyway on the delivery service. Amazon delays handling my complaint. Last resort will be chargeback.
Story:
Unfortunatelly I ordered my watch from Amazon.de because I didn't hear about the bad experiences up until a week ago.
Well, at least my case wasn't empty, and I recorded the opening of the box in the curiers office. But my watch is used, with very visible signs of previous wear, I see the indent on the strap setting where someone used to wear it. And no, it's not from the box setting, the cardboard filler in the box needs the strap to be fixed on a bigger setting.
I can't complain yet to Amazon, because they don't see the update yet that I got the item.
The curiers, Speedy in Bulgaria are always anyway a joke...
Amazon also jumbled with the delivery dates and suddenly yesterday I got a message of delivery. Called the curier to ask for the next day, because I didn't expect the watch and I'm at work. The unfriendly dude Just dropped it off at the furthest Speedy office from my home.
Now, my problems are:
Firstly that I requested a door delively because of personal reasons, and It's not easy or obvious for me to walk at all to the curier office, nor arranging a friend to drop me off with a car, altough a friend did help me out today.
Secondly, I was expecting the watch for long now, it took me 2 years to gather this ammount of "disposable" money, and not feel guilty that I would have needed it to spend it on something more important. I gifted myself finally for my birthday with it, because I'm recovering from a*use, and there is some health data that I want, to put the puzzle of my health back together, phisically and mentally too.
So no, I don't want to send the watch back, for all the time and hassle it would take, I just want to use it.
And yes, I want a compensation, or else I'll chargeback with my bank after all this obstacles Amazon put me trough.
Since then I became more and more aware of the inhumanity of Amazon, and will never again endorse their business with my purchase!
But! Now I'm a Venu 4 owner and I'm not letting nothing interfere with my joy about this fact! Can't wait to see my first poor sleep score. 🥲
