My husband and I LOVE bedsharing with our son (8m). He currently sleeps between us but we have been considering a setup like the photo as he becomes mobile and to have more space. The only thing is that the setup requires us to purchase an 11inch twin xl mattress because our queen mattress is an 11 inch. It’s so much easier to find a 10inch or 12 inch. Do you think an inch would make a huge difference/be unsafe? We are planning on a gap cover between the two (recs for that also appreciated). Feel free to let me know if there are other setups like this that may also work!
