Hi I've ordered YouFibre a few days ago and yesterday on 30 April was my installation day with a slot between 8am-1pm.
I read that the engineer will contact me to say when he's gonna arrive but no one did.
At about 12:30 I just typed in engineer no show and found top search results how people are getting engineer no shows from this company.
I live in the first floor and we have a gate with a code and dialer but I went downstairs close to the gate expecting someone to show up and an unknown number called me at 12:49 which triggered my AI call assistant.
The AI assistant triggers on numbers that are not saved and it asks what's your name and what is the reason for your call and you can read the transcription in real time.
The guy said his name is Lewis and he's calling for YouFibre installation and hung up instead of letting the AI connect him with me which is basically me hitting the green button.
I called back the number at 12:51 and the guy wouldn't pick up and when I opened the gate to go outside he was gone if he came at all.
I tried calling 3 more times but he wouldn't pick up.
I contacted chat support at the same time to say their engineer didn't show up but got no response and it's been now 24 hours without any response.
I downloaded the app and logged in and yesterday it was showing me the option to track with the scheduled appointment but now this disappeared and it shows a button Book install.
When I click this button however it tells me that my installation has already been scheduled and if I want to however change time or date to contact the same chat that no one is on.
It's been exactly a day later and I cannot get in touch with anybody to even cancel this nonsense because it just takes me to the chat.
I also submitted tickets with no response.
I'm furious because I took a day off for this shit and they spammed me with 50 messages to make sure I don't forget the date of my installation and to have someone 18+ there else I face £25 fine but what about the engineer no show. Who is going to pay me £150 for not working and not having broadband and being unable to buy another one since I can't even cancel this?
What should I do? I've never seen anything like this. Is this normal?
Edit: I just saw that they sent me 6 emails of a survey on How did we do. Outrageous.
