Tech jacket is well written and her position in the team was interesting and well written.

She was able to hold the vials against the viltrumites since being the only one with tech in space. She helped allen escape the viltrumites and thus, get heat off oliver and nolan. Her vial shooting also helped in taking down viltrumites.

Now from a writing standpoint, her not being super powerful definitely stands and supports herself being different from the team. Her mix of being useful with vials while also being a bit of a liability set up for quite a few interesting scenarios. Her role in a team wasn't a boring random one.

The only issue I have is that she took down viltrumite mark in invincible war and seems a little downgraded but:

  1. Almost all the variants were weaker than our mark.

  2. It was longer than a few minutes.

I think it's weird that people hate her when she is definitely cool and had a unique position in the viltrumite war.

  1. Which reminds me how did iselda bag conifer? She's fit , tall athletic and a warrior and with all of that she sits in a shop hoping that someone will spend geo in a dead kingdom

  2. One thing about hollow knight and elden ring is that there seems to be normal people in these crazy ass environments that we quite literally barely see which sometimes annoys me because the fact that a market exists where people care for geo implies that there are a people who use and trade said geo which took me a while to figure out and finally somewhat ish confirmed with the existence of lemme and that lowkey PMO

I think there was a greater evil threat that the pale king died too. They technically never say how he died. The knight just sorta stumbles upon his body in a dream. And also, it was kinda weird how there were both the 5 great knights of the king AND a garrison of army and guards that were patrolling the kingdom.

In the lore, it's kinda stated that the king kinda managed to subdue the radiance with the hollow knights mindless and strong body. And his mind became big due to him being strong. He was raised as a cattle but that's the point. Why would the pale king have 5 knights and a army at his disposal? Why would hornet and quirrel and other people need to be sent out of hallownest into a world where they weren't even sure if the other kings existed? Higher beings were great and scary and one managed to stumble there and took the shape of the locals. But seemingly, this was kinda sorta after the wholworld was plunged into darkness. He doesn't even know what's out there. Yet he sends

His children out there and they wander the lands? I'll tell you why.

There is a greater evil being and threat that controlled the void and drove the powerful king over there. That entity controls the whole huge world of hollow knight but nobody can do nothing . The pale kings forces like the knight and hornet were mere specks in comparison to its power. Now, seeing how absolutely everything isn't dead it might be dead. But there is also a chance it could be alive. And that's what the pale king was training for? The radiance wasn't the joker to the pale kings batman. He was simply a bane. The true joker or the reason for the pale kings purpose is out there. And we need a story on that.

That's what we need steve. We need to know why he sends his children out there. What that greater evil is which literally plunged the world into void and darkness throwing away its greatest users like snail shamans into random hermits.
