First Fanart

I was inspired recently to make fanart of Hollow Knight—I’ve been really getting into lore and the design of the game and found out that the reason it’s raining in city of tears is because the blue lake is right above. So I decided to make a drawing of the blue lake raining down on the city of tears! (After I finished I showed it to a friend of mine and he said I should add Quirrel in a boat so I did)

edit: also that’s the soul sanctum on the left and the watcher’s spire on the right

Medium: pencil, charcoal, colored pencil, sharpie

I. HATE. Greymoor.

...as a beginner to Silksong, that is. Whilst I've encountered some hard bosses and enemies here and there, nothing compares to Greymoor. First of: the gauntlet before getting Thread Storm. THOSE FUCKING BIRDS THAT I HATE. I beat Lace, 4th Chorus and Bell Beast more easily than this stupid gauntlet. Second of, the parkour section to get to T.S.. I don't like pogoing. I suck at it. And third, THE OTHER FUCKING BIRD. Moorwing. I hate Moorwing. He would've been fine if it wasn't for HIS STUPID DOUBLE CONTACT DAMAGE. Overall, worst area I've been to so far. 0/20 please get me out of here.

I may be stating the obvious...

In the final boss against Holliw Knight, it's the infection that's fighting you, right? And HK knows that he needs to die? That's why HK stabs himself and the body is puppeteered during the slam attack?

hello i am new to this game (it is one of the few i havent seen most of)

at most i have seen the first cutscene and thought this game was prolly boring

i was so wrong this is fun as hell

it has a good balance of difficulty, being hard, but not as hard as metroid (for the life of me i cannot figure out where all the missiles are. i mean its still fun, but i like to 100%)

i just beat the soul master and plan to go for mantis lords soon

unlocked the elevator from crossroads to the city of tears too

i like this game its peak

Hollow knight OC

Hi everyone. I recently created my own Hollow Knight OC and want to promote it. I'd also really need artists and musicians to create a special OST for it, as well as programmers (or whoever, I don't know) since I want to create a whole fan-made expansion for the game. I really hope you can help.

---

Vesselwhisperer

A wanderer who hears the echoes of the Hollow.

Vesselwhisperer is a wandering Vessel, guided by the quiet voices of those forgotten by time.

He remembers neither his birth nor his purpose. The only thing he knows is that he must keep listening.

He follows the whispers left behind by broken Vessels, fading thoughts, and forgotten souls.

Within those echoes, he finds his path.

> "We are all but vessels. Yet even an empty shell can hear what a soul cannot."

---

Traits

Calm and observant.

Does not seek glory, but will never abandon those in need.

Feels a deep connection to the Void, yet refuses to surrender himself to it.

Shows compassion toward lost souls and the forgotten inhabitants of Hallownest.

---

History

Vesselwhisperer awakened in a forgotten corner of Hallownest with no memory of who he was or why he had been created.

He wanders through abandoned ruins, ancient graves, and forgotten paths, listening to the lingering echoes of those who came before him.

Some believe he is a remnant of an abandoned experiment.

Others claim he is the final memory of Vessels long since forgotten.

He does not seek the Hollow Knight.

He seeks those who were never remembered.

> "Every echo is a memory. Every memory deserves to be heard."

---

Weapon

Echo Needle

A needle forged from the fragments of shattered Vessels and infused with the power of the Void.

It allows its wielder to sense faint echoes, temporarily strengthen them, reveal forgotten paths, and uncover hidden truths.

---

Relics

Whisperer's Mask

A mask crafted from the shell of an ancient Vessel.

Enhances the ability to perceive nearby echoes and memories.

---

Amber Shard

A fossilized fragment imbued with the lingering light of a forgotten kingdom.

Slightly accelerates Soul regeneration.

---

Known Locations

Forgotten Crossroads

Often sits in silence, listening to the echoes carried by the wind.

---

Fungal Wastes

Feels the traces of ancient memories hidden among the mushrooms.

---

Graveyard of the Vessels

Spends long hours speaking with the silent remnants of the past.

---

P.c:I apologize in advance for my English, as I use an English translator, because it seems to me that there are more English speakers on Reddit and more people who will help me.

After playing Hollow Knight again after Silksong, I definitely think Silksong is harder, but also far better

Silksong’s combat is far more dynamic and interesting than Hollow Knight. It’s far more rewarding in Silksong to kill anything than it is in Hollow Knight. As the Knight you feel like a tank. It can walk up to almost anything and just spam it to death. I do love this because the fighting style fits with the lore.

Hornet’s style also fits with her lore but her play style is far more interesting. The Knight tries to kill as quickly as possible and will trade damage occasionally. Hornet on the other hand evades as her primary offense.

I find it far more interesting to evade and strike when able than to just beat an enemy to death. Not to say the Knights combat is bad. I just think compared to Hornet’s, it pales in comparison

Behind the scenes of my Hollow Knight 3D animation (Maya / Substance Painter / Solo Production)

Hi everyone, this is a short behind-the-scenes look at my Hollow Knight 3D animation project.

I’ve been working on fan animations for Hollow Knight whenever I have free time over the past few years. This project was made entirely by me, from story planning, modeling, rigging, animation, rendering, all the way to compositing.

It’s been a long process, and definitely more demanding than I expected when I first started. There were plenty of challenges along the way, and honestly, a few moments where I wasn’t sure if I should keep going.

But I kept coming back to it, mainly because I wanted to bring some of these ideas to life in 3D and actually finish something personal.

Really appreciate the people who’ve followed and supported my work along the way — it’s been a big part of what kept me going.

I’d love to connect with other animators and Hollow Knight fans here, and always open to feedback or thoughts from fellow creators.

I wrote a program to press random hollow knight hotkeys, and I'm going to test it against every boss. Most upvoted comnment when i check reddit in the morning is the boss i will be testing. I will add a video of the previous boss every day. You can also put a charm build, but they must be different comments.
