How are you handling RFQs?

I’m trying to understand how wholesalers and trading companies currently handle RFQs when they receive customer orders.

From what I’ve seen so far, a lot of companies still:

* receive orders via WhatsApp / email

* manually copy item details into RFQs

* send RFQs separately to multiple suppliers

* track responses in Excel or messages

This seems like a lot of repetitive manual work, especially when dealing with frequent or large orders.

I’m curious:

  1. How do you currently create RFQs from customer orders?

  2. What tools (if any) do you use for this?

  3. What part of the process is the most time-consuming or frustrating?

  4. Do you think a simple tool that converts customer orders into RFQs and sends them to suppliers automatically would actually help — or is manual handling still preferred?

I’m not trying to promote anything here — just researching if this is a real pain point or if most people already have a smooth system in place.

Appreciate any insights 🙏
