Hi everyone! It’s been about a year since I graduated, but I do have a few questions I’m hoping to get some clarification on. Any insight would be awesome! For some extra info, I graduated in April and got hired as an OT in may. I’ve been supplying and doing LTO work through the year.
- I graduated at an A3 level. QECO has annual pay increases, do I need to be in a permanent full time position to move up the grid? Or does time spent as an OT or in an LTO count too?
- I’ve heard a lot of mixed things about the time commitment for AQ/ABQ courses. For those who have recently taken some, how many hours did you dedicate weekly to complete the course? Are they manageable while working? Did you take multiple at a time? One at a time?
- The infamous MPT. I haven’t taken it as you don’t need it to supply, and I’m feeling more anxious towards it than I expected. Probably because I just finished 6 years of school and feel like if I can’t complete this test it’s all for nothing. Aside from the official practice tests, are there any other helpful resources you’d recommend? Did you pass first attempt? Did you need a few tries?
