There is alot of hype these days with every company talking about it l but the market feels like a ghost town. Been at this for a while now. applications, follow-ups, the whole cycle but nothing concrete has materialised.
For context, I am already located here and have worked across supply chain and financial services on real initiatives spanning data, ML, and AI that's not just experimenting, but actual production work. (Happy to share more in DMs)
Years of experience: Relatively early in my career
Some skills for reference: Python, SQL, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, statistical modelling, machine learning, feature engineering,
plus on the AI/LLM side: LLMs, LangChain / agentic frameworks, RAG pipelines, NLP
Open to any industry and I'm not really picky about the domain, just want to do meaningful work and have the chance to prove myself.
To anyone who's made it through this market, what am I missing? Because from where I'm standing, this genuinely doesn't add up anymore. Especially for anyone who's not senior.
