▲ 2 r/Tile

Old 8”x8” ceramic tile lasted 30 years without it with no cracking or grout issues. It’s all been removed now.

Joist deflection is well above the requirement for ceramic or porcelain. We have osb subfloor with exterior grade plywood over the top, the total stack height is like 1 1/8” or 1 1/4”. We are going to lay 12” x 24” tile. Is Ditra or equivalent necessary to keep the new stuff from cracking or delaminating considering it’s a larger format? I’ve always done work over top of concrete or concrete board so working with the mat will be new, if we do need to use it.

Thanks in advance.

I’ve got about 1/4 acre to mow in the Midwest, USA and am looking for an electric mower around 400-600 dollars.

What brand I should go for? I’d like something that won’t give me trouble with battery life, powerful with a nice cut, and is easy for me to keep running myself (including parts pricing/availability once out of warranty since I tend to keep things forever).

I’ve always had Toro gas mowers and have liked them and kept them up for years, but I’ve heard mixed results with their batteries. The recycler with personal pace and an 8 Ah battery is about 600 dollars now.

Ego - they seem to be better all around but not cut as nice as the Toro? There’s a sale right now where I can get the 800 series with a 7.5 Ah battery and an additional 5Ah battery for $650, but I’m unsure if that is overkill for my yard.

What about Honda or other brands?

I might be interested in the companion trimmer with each of these as well, if that changes the equation with which to go for.

Thanks in advance for your advice.
