Actual tips for calc AB/BC

Im an International student who took the exam few hours ago, and I will tell you guys what you should expect rn not to panick on the exam, especially for the 1st time AP takers. (btw, quick reminder but even if our papers are different, I will NOT tell you what I got, as I dont wanna risk stuff so dont ask any shit questions like "what did you get" etc...)

  1. Taking the exam in test center is NOT the same as doing the mock in your home. I did several princeton or barrons mock and I did pretty well. But, exam is different. You are in a center. You are with other grownups. There is a pressure. It all makes you nervous and makes you harder to concentrate

  2. Use a timer when you do your mock. Yes, I was stupid. I thought im just fine without a timer, as I could and did manage to finish all of my mock problems with very high accuracy in less than 50 mins (Noncalc+Calc). But in the exam, there IS a timer and it stresses you. In the exam, yes, because of a lot of reasons, I took some more time than usual. Timers ticking. Pressure. Random calculation mistakes which could've been easily prevented. With a timer, all of them happened which I did NOT expect.

  3. Get used to pencils. I love mechanical pencils and never used pencil for past 3 years. When the proctor said I need to use pencil, I was shocked. Its harder to write stuff than mechanical pencil and its so uncomfortable. Use the PENCILS and get used to the ACTUAL frq. My handwriting got horrible and i rewrote so many times which lost some time.

  4. Sleep. Everyone says so and I somehow didnt. Well, yes, I was nervous and I need some mental help so was talking with friends via internet, but I can say right now that was the most stupid thing. Reasons are so obvious and you know them.

As a result, its a whole misery. I aimed for a full mark but thats a joke at this point. I couldnt answer question D for BOTH problem 1 and 2, and just realized some stupid calc mistakes, too. My score is somewhere mid 5 in a score calculator (was around 80 at the worst scenario). Dont be like me. Dont just be aware, do it. You can ace the exam and wish you best of luck. Sorry for this long message and wasting your time.

Guidebook

Hello, Im a Grade 9 (14 years old) student who is ahout to finish Calculus III (+will take AP Cal BC in 2 days) and I am currently writing a book (more of a Guidebook-ish) for most of the contents about calculus (precalc to calc III level) for the Algebra II finishers.

I know there are some PLENTY of these "math teaching books", so I am focusing on the "flow" of mathematics (how it evolved, why its necessary, how do we use that concept), not to TEACH the stuff.

Do you think there is a demand? If so, how can I sell it?

How accurate is princeton review mock

I did my calc BC princeton review mock 1 and got 43/45 (28/30, 15/15). Am I fine for a 5 and is managable for perfect score even in an international paper? How accurate is the difficulty for the princeton review?
