thought i was eating healthy for 6 months. turns out i was eating 40g protein a day 💀
so i joined gym last year, was going consistently 5 days a week, eating "clean" by my own standard. no junk food, home cooked meals, dal chawal, sabzi, curd. felt proud of myself honestly.
6 months later i look exactly the same. maybe slightly less fat but zero muscle. trainer kept saying eat more protein and i was like yeah yeah i eat eggs and chicken bro.
then one day out of boredom i actually tracked my food. full day of eating.
40 grams of protein. that's it. for someone my weight i needed around 130g minimum.
the "eggs and chicken" i was eating was like one egg in the morning and maybe 80g chicken at dinner. rest of the day was just carbs basically. dal has protein but not that much. curd helps but again not that much.
the worst part is i was genuinely confused why i wasn't progressing. was blaming my genetics, my sleep, everything except the actual obvious thing.
took me another 3 months to actually fix the diet and the difference was stupid obvious. not even joking.
if you're stuck and not seeing results just track one full day honestly. don't estimate, actually weigh stuff. might be eye opening.
anyone else went through this or is it just me 😭
