Reduced Hours
Hi all, mid-level patent attorney here.
I don’t like the law firm life, and I’ve been tentatively looking at in-house positions. In the meantime, I’m thinking about trying to reduce my billable hours so I can work 4 days a week. Put plainly, on reduced hours, the money would still be fine (my SO has a high paying job) and I would have more time to pursue the things that I enjoy. I have no interest in becoming a partner (or any higher-ranking firm member, honestly).
Anyone have any experience or advice with cutting back?
