So my boyfriend when he originally asked me to be his girl asked me in a very casual way. he randomly asked me one night out of nowhere. i was happy and said yes, but before this i had explained that i wanted him to do something more special to ask me. he told me he would ask me again in a more spcial way like w flowers and a sign or smth in 2 weeks once finals r over. he kept mentioning it and i got very excited. once the 2 weeks were up, he never did it. he told me stuff came up but nothing rly did. he could tell i was upset and then bought me flowers because we were already at publix. he appologized and told me he would make up for it the next weekend. i dont trust that. im honestly considering breaking up over this but idk. help?

So I have known this guy for like 2 months and then he asked me to be his girlfriend like a few weeks ago. Me and my ex boyfriend had a super toxic relationship that ended about 5 months ago and lasted like 2 years and although I am well over him, I promised myself I would never let myself get into another toxic relationship. The guy i am currently with has been super sweet. He seems like a great guy and we get along well. Yet, one time at this small party I was laying on his lap and he made a joke to his friend that it looked like i was giving him oral sx. That really upset me when he did that because it felt objectifying. I told him how i felt very clearly, and he apolgized and promised it would not happen again. BUT. at a dinner last night with our friends he made a joke to his friend and said hey look at this cool trick, and the trick was to "boing" my b**b. Sorry i know that sounds stupid but yeah thats what happened. I thought I had already made it reallly clear to him i did not like those jokes. I told him how it upset me that he did that stuff again. Is it valid to be mad about this? Is this like breakup worthy? Im more upset that i created a boundary and he did not follow through when he said he wouldnt do it anymore. I just dont know if what he did is really that bad or if im just being anxious due to my last relationship. I wanna have a boyfriend and i just got over a horrible hearbreak idk if i can put myself through another one,
