Trouble pronouncing the “B” sound 5 months after tonsillectomy
Hello, I got my tonsillectomy back in January and everything went well in terms of that. However, I’ve pretty much been sick off and on since then (Covid, cold, allergies, etc.). I have found that when I’m sick/having allergies I have trouble pronouncing the “B” sound. It’s like my voice catches mid-speech and I feel a brief pain in the left side of my throat (only the left side) kind of in the same general area as my lymph nodes. It also sometimes happens when I’m not sick.
Has this happened to anyone else? And is this a cause for concern? I went to my ENT in the beginning of April and asked specifically about it, but he said my tissue looked fine and my symptoms were likely tied to having Covid. Since it’s been 3 months, shouldn’t this issue be resolved if it was related to Covid?
