Cat wont eat or drink and just sleeps after anti-vomiting and gastro-protect shots
Long story shot.... on 8th May i found a lump on the right side of my cat (11y soon 12y old male cat), and went to the vet on the 11th Monday (as they are closed in the weekend).... Vet said it might have been due to the vaccine (he had his annual shot on the 14th of April) and told me to massage the lump for 4-5 days, once a day with tincture of iodine....
I did my best to keep an eye out for him to not lick the zone where i had massaged the iodine (i put him in cat apparels? but during the night he always managed to escape them).... so I'm not sure how much or if he had licked the iodine...also i used the iodine once a day Monday to Thursday
Yesterday (Thursday) i saw that he was very lethargic and that he even refused his fav food so i took him to the vet asap where we discovered he had a fever....
He got an anti-inflammatory shot and was told to monitor him, and that it could have been due to the iodine, either a allergic reaction or that he managed to lick it.... after we came home about half and hour later he started eating again and playing.... but around 3am he woke up and threw up all the food that he had eaten....
Today i saw that he also had no appetite and that he was still lethargic so i took him back to the vet .... he didn't have a fever anymore so the vet only gave him just a gastro-protect shot and and anti-vomiting shot.... but since we came home my cat literally just sleeps and doesn't want any food or water....
We have another appointment tomorrow ..... to check his temperature again and see how he is and what to do further....
I'm not sure what medicine they used for the 2 shots he received today (the anti-vomiting box looked like Vominil but im not 100% sure), i know the anti-inflammatory shot was Onisor
But i was wondering if any of you experience your cat refusing food or water after an anti-vomiting and gastro-protect shot...and if there is anything i can do to make him feel better ...
