Any UAE-based Alpaca/API traders here? Hard to find this niche locally
I’m trying to understand whether there are many UAE-based people using Alpaca or similar API-first brokers for US stocks/options.
I built a native iOS app for myself for Alpaca because the mobile workflow around Alpaca felt... weak, but I’ve run into some UAE-specific problem: it seems very hard to advertise finance/trading-related apps here through normal iOS channels, even when the app is more of a trading interface/tool than a broker.
So questions:
- Are there any Alpaca users in the UAE? or on this r/ at all?...
- Where do UAE-based US equity/options/API traders usually hang out? Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, X?
- Are people here mostly on IBKR, eToro, Sarwa, Alpaca, or something else?
I’m happy to share what I built privately if relevant, but mostly looking for honest feedback from people who actually trade US markets from the UAE.
