I just closed my mom’s estate through probate. I owe my brother $33K from that estate. He has made my life hell during the two-year process through bullying, name calling, threats, etc. He has also spent his life dodging income tax payments and child support.

When he gets his check for the $33K, he will sign it over to his girlfriend (he doesn’t have a bank account), for the reasons stated above. HOW CAN I PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING?

Like all law abiding, tax paying citizens who take care of their children and financial obligations, he should not be able to slip through the cracks once again. Yes, it’s petty and I don’t care.
