Would proof-of-concept animated trailers help screenwriters pitch their projects?

Hey everyone,

I recently launched a platform called Directors Market. We make animated proof of concept trailers for screenwriters to help pitch their scripts to filmmakers, producers and studios.

We just completed our first trailer, “Death Day". The script takes place in a utopia where the main character, Trevor, is forced to fight to the death in a government operated experiment of population control.

I had so much fun making this, and would love to connect with more screenwriters and filmmakers who are interested in projects like this.

If you're interested in seeing the trailer, comment below, I'll send you the link to our website!

Anyway, I’d genuinely love feedback from screenwriters and filmmakers here:

  • Do you think proof-of-concept trailers could help writers gain traction?
  • Would this make you more interested in reading a script or making the movie?

Oh, and by the way, the trailers are made by real artists! No AI involved. We work with animators, editors, voice actors, composers, and sound designers.

I'm excited to hear everyone's thoughts!
